Awarded by the Facilities Management Association, this accolade celebrates our groundbreaking CO2 Transcritical Refrigeration Maintenance Training Program.
City is delighted to be awarded the Leadership in Industry Innovation Award at the prestigious Facilities Management Association (FMA) Awards for Excellence 2024. This award acknowledges innovative practices that have been fully operational in the last 12 months and bring new ideas to facilities management.
City’s CO2 Transcritical Refrigeration Maintenance Training Program was designed to equip our technicians, who service Coles Group stores, with practical, hands-on experience in maintaining CO2 transcritical refrigeration systems, helping them get ready for the future of work.
A scaled-down version of a supermarket system was designed and developed within a mobile shipping container which could be transported around the country to deliver training around the country. Over 25 training sessions for 170 City technicians were held nationwide, improving our team’s technical skills and promoting safety and operational efficiency in the refrigeration industry, enabling us to better support our partner Coles. You can read more about the project here.
City was also a finalist in the Excellence in Facilities Management Practice Award category for our work with Goodstart Early Learning which sees us proactively service over 650 Goodstart childcare centres nationwide via a self-delivery model.
Being recognised by the FMA is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.
At City, our innovative approaches are at the heart of our commitment to working ‘smarter together’ to support our partners and lead the way in the Facilities Management industry. Congratulations to everyone involved!
